Ayodhya gets a facelift in 2023 with international airport built, roads rejuvenated

Yogi govt spent crores for the beautification of Ayodhya

Lucknow, December 26: The holy city of Ayodhya, also known as Avadhpuri, witnessed large scale development works in 2023, and is set to regain its glory under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and effective execution of projects by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After five hundred years of waiting, struggles, and movements, finally, on the upcoming January 22, 2024, Lord Shri Ram will be enshrined in his new, majestic, and divine temple in Ayodhya.

The year 2024 is poised to be the most significant year in the history of Ayodhya, but when the evaluation of the year 2023 is done in the future, undoubtedly, it will be considered the foundational year for the restoration of Ayodhya’s glory.

In 2023, a long list of development projects was undertaken for the transformation of Ayodhya. The most significant efforts were directed towards strengthening the connectivity of the city dedicated to Lord Shri Ram. On one hand, an International Airport was constructed to connect Ayodhya with the entire world and on the other, the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station was renovated for the convenience of railway passengers.

Significant efforts were made to enhance road connectivity through four different routes as well as to beautify the city in a way so as to represent the blend of its rich religious heritage and state-of-the art facilities for devotees and tourists in 2023. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, development work is ongoing for the comprehensive development of Avadpuri, aiming to turn it into a prosperous city and a city of abundance once again.

– Completion of the first phase of construction of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport.
– Completion of first phase of rejuvenation work at Ayodhya Dham Railway Station.
– Construction of Ram Path, Janmabhoomi Path and Bhakti Path and beautification of facade.
– Construction of a four-lane road from NH-27 bypass Mahobra Bazaar to Tedhi Bazaar Ram Janmabhoomi.
– Rejuvenation of a four-lane road from Ayodhya Sultanpur National Highway (NH330) to the airport.
– Construction work of the first lane of ROB on railway level crossing number 111-B from NH 27 bypass to Ram Path.
